Emergency Management
In Upper Fairfield Township we feel that health and safety are paramount. Accordingly, we set high standards for investing in Emergency Management. As an example of our commitment, Upper Fairfield Township has invested in a new emergency radio system that is a necessary component for P25 compatibility with the county. This is the most advanced emergency technology communication system available in this area, and it will be of tremendous benefit to the Township.
Communication is a very high priority when it comes to emergency situations and incidents. Contact with the county emergency personnel is critical as we are integrated into the official Lycoming County Emergency Management Plan with all of its policies and procedures set forth.
Upper Fairfield Township is organized to be on alert and ready for emergency situations. The Emergency Management Coordinator attends the quarterly county training meetings in addition to participating in on-going training through FEMA and other agencies. It is vitally important that the township stays updated on critical emergency matters.
With this website, our goal is to reach out to residents of the community so that everyone has the opportunity to stay informed and to try and prevent problems before they occur. If you have any questions, ideas, comments, or would like to volunteer to help, please contact Scott Winters, Emergency Management Coordinator, at 717-629-7951.
